From 1967 to 1975 the 198th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the flew the F-104C like the one above. Assigned to the Puerto Rico Air National Guard since 1947, the squadron had the responsibility of securing Puerto Rican air space. The 198th was the last USAF unit to fly the Starfighter. Today, the 198th has an airlift mission and flies C-130s.
