Veenstra & De Vries Aviation Publishing is a collaboration between Lieuwe de Vries and Ruben Veenstra. We’re a company based in The Netherlands and provide several services. Founded as a portfolio website by Lieuwe in 2009, the site grew into it’s current form when he and Ruben started working together since 2013.
We photograph military aircraft from around the globe and illustrate aircraft with a very high level of detail. Our portfolio contains illustrations of (among others) the F-16 Viper, F-104 Starfighter and the F-4 Phantom from many different squadrons and Air Forces. Next to creating illustrations we write about and report on military aviation with a focus on Dutch and North European matters. We have contributed to leading aviation news blogs and have made media appearances. See our Publications page for a listing.
