 Zapping is a form of military graffitti where personel from one unit paints their unit’s logo on the aircraft of equipment of another unit, D-8257 as shown here has fallen victim to this practice too with 5 Squadron RAF being the culprit. 311 Squadron flew the F-104 in the ground attack role from Volkel airbase in the south, the ground attack machines can be easily distinguished by the ECM bumps under the nose and tail area. |
